Use Profiles Data to Enhance Your Website

We make much of the data in Profiles available for use in your apps and websites.

Data is available through a simple HTTP GET API, where you can get information about any user in the system in JSON format. You can integrate this with applications using your favorite language/environment, including JavaScript, Python, or Java.

All you need to know is the person's Profiles URL or campus identifier—or you can use a 2-step process to download data for every user in the system.

We currently support fields like:

  • name
  • bio
  • department
  • research keywords
  • photo URL
  • publications
